Many interesting facts are demonstrated in this article. The UAE along with Saudi Arabia have just recently donated 8 billion dollars to Israel. The reason for the donation was to strengthen their shaky government and also to undermine their Islamist rivals and aiding their allies. However, Qatar and Turkey have donated nearly 10 billion dollars to the brotherhood Islamists.
This article was a bit shocking to me. It amazes me at the tremendous amounts of money being thrown around in the article. If so many countries are in debt, it's hard to imagine where all these billions of dollars are coming from. Also, it presents a sort of brotherly relationship between specific countries. Countries will do basically anything in order to help a fellow ally no matter the circumstances.
The donating of such a large amount of money will have a huge impact on the politics in the United Arab Emirates. Not only are they forking over 8 billion dollars, but others may not like them assisting Israel. Israel is a very controversial country in western Asia. With the UAE assisting them, many countries are starting to pay closer attention and make sure nothing crazy is happening. This could result in the UAE being responsible to answer to any questions asked.
